Do you support IndexNow?
Yes. IndexNow is where BetterIndexNow started. We notify every participating engine — Bing, Yandex, Seznam, and Naver — the moment a URL changes, and surface each engine’s response separately.
Do you support Google?
Yes. Google doesn’t participate in IndexNow, so we use the Google Indexing API for supported content and Search Console to read real indexing status for every URL.
Do you support Bing?
Yes — through both IndexNow and Bing Webmaster Tools, covering submission and index status.
How does index monitoring work?
We periodically check the indexing status of your URLs on Google and Bing, record every change as an event, and show the current status plus full history in your dashboard.
Can I monitor all the URLs in my sitemap?
Yes. Point us at your sitemap and we discover its URLs automatically. You can also add URLs manually or in bulk, and they’re monitored the same way.
Do I need Search Console?
For Google index monitoring, connecting Google Search Console gives the most accurate status. Submission via the Indexing API and IndexNow does not require it.
Why not just use Google Search Console?
Search Console is essential, but it doesn’t continuously monitor indexing changes across all your URLs, maintain per-URL event histories, automate submissions, or send proactive alerts. BetterIndexNow builds on top of it to do exactly that — across both Google and Bing.
Do I need Bing Webmaster Tools?
Connecting Bing Webmaster Tools unlocks the richest Bing status data. Basic IndexNow submission to Bing works without it.
Do you send alerts?
Yes. We send a concise daily digest — but only when something actually changed — covering indexing gains, losses, and new discoveries.
How often are URLs monitored?
Automatically. Active and problem URLs are checked frequently, while stable, long-indexed URLs are checked less often — so monitoring stays fresh without wasting API quota.
